The Book of Pintxos

Pintxos are the lifeblood of my adopted hometown, San Sebastián—they bring people together, serve as the raw material for urban legends, and are a source of pride for the locals. I’ve spent the last four years writing this fun, vibrant book. In it, you’ll find over 70 recipes for the most famous pintxos, along with the story of their creation and the history of the bars where they were born.

The history of the pintxo is a living one, and now in The Book of Pintxos it has been catalogued. From the prologue, by Juan Mari and Elena Arzak, to the mix and match sections in each chapter, this book gives you the inside track on the world of the pintxo and the ability to create them flawlessly in your own kitchen.

Pintxos are the perfect party food. Find out how they have becom the tiny pieces of culinary art they are today in my book, The Book of Pintxos. USA Book Tour dates coming soon! Stay tuned by signing up for my newsletter.

BASQUE COUNTRY

I've spent the last several years developing this very special book. It is the book the Basques deserve—a look at their most traditional, beloved recipes, complete with the history behind each one and the step-by-step process for recreating them, wherever you are in the world.

My time in the Basque Country has shaped my beliefs and attitude toward food. From the prologue, by Bittor Arginzoniz of Asador Etxebarri, to the glossary on Basque words, this book is a labor of love dedicated to one of the world's most special people.

The Basques are a unique, noble people that are, most importantly, obsessed with good eating. Find out why (and what Basque cooking is really about) in my book, Basque Country. Come visit me on my book tour at an event near you.

Marti is an Alabama girl with the heart of a Basque. Her book takes you inside the homes, bars, restaurants, and even the txokos (the private dining clubs) of Basque Country in a way that Americans have never seen before. This is truly insider access, an authentic look at the traditions of one of the most incredible culinary regions of the world.

No utiliza ingredientes exóticos o técnicas aparatosas.
