This is a new pintxo at what definitely warrants the title of San Sebastián institution, Bodega Donostiarra. Imagine my delight when I walked in to my neighborhood haunt to find a plate of house-roasted piquillo peppers! These beautiful vegetables are 99% of the time found canned and preserved, so it's a big time treat when you get freshly peeled peppers tasting of smoke. They serve them up on a toast with a single, salty anchovy.
